Where to Eat in Hong Kong?

Where to Eat in Hong Kong?

Mmmmm…food in Hong Kong, to me, was not a delight at all!! I had to stick to seafood and vegetarian dishes the whole trip. Even the Mac Fillet was so reeking and I ended up just eating the French fries. I don’t want to influence the readers negatively, but this is my taste and it is hard to satisfy my tasting buds easily due to the divergence in ethnicity.

No one can deny the fact that Hong Kong is the culinary capital of Asia but unfortunately, I don’t like Chinese or Cantonese cuisines. The local must-try dishes are Dim Sum and fresh seafood. I tried shrimps dim sum, a Chinese snack served in bamboo baskets accompanied by Chinese tea – I loved the jasmine tea. Having dim sum in Hong Kong is a unique experience you shouldn’t miss. They serve it with pork, beef, and chicken as well.

Hong Kong has a world of exquisite, mouth-watering international dining options to satisfy all its visitors. My favorite experience was dining in style with incredible views, overlooking the harbor while gazing at the stunning skyline. I had most of my meals at The Upper House hotel, an international cuisine serving the best of the best. Also try Stanley area, a charming village on the south-side of Hong Kong island offering a glorious alfresco dining experience.

A trip to Lamma Island is recommended as well, A seafood feast is awaiting you. Pick your favorite fish from the tanks at the restaurant and let the chefs take care of the rest.  Also, there are several cafes and food Hawkers scattered all over Kowloon and at the Ladies’ market. The smell was horrible. I swear I was about to throw up at the disgusting smell from such shops. They serve intestines, testicles, brains, kidneys…Uhh, I don’t want even to remember, surprisingly a lot of people were buying.

Another restaurant I also tried and it was very good is Jumbo Restaurant. It is in the Aberdeen Area. It will have a big and well-lit signage clearly stating Jumbo Restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was very good. It is an attraction itself and many movies were shot there.
