What to expect from this magical city.

After 16 centuries of urban life, Istanbul is a marvelous mixture of triumphant mosques, cafes, spooky subterranean cisterns, strong fortresses, treasure-filled museums and plenty of pastry shops. It is the only city on earth on two continents where the Bosphorus gulf lays between Europe and Asia. You can go for smart shopping and good bargains. You can try the Turkish cuisine and explore more about a city that has been the capital for two successive empires; Christian & Islamic.

My personal view of Istanbul.

I have only been to Istanbul which I used to underestimate, but now I can say it loud and clear that it is one of my favorite cities in the world. It has it all, culture, history, hospitable nation, amazing shores and a great oriental hippy atmosphere. Its turquoise sea with a hue of which I have never seen before left me in a state of mesmerism. The city’s narrow alleys jam-packed full of stories, resulted in me falling in love with Istanbul.  Furthermore, I personally liked how clean this city is. Having barely seen a fly there and I can comfortably say that it is totally safe to buy food from street sellers.
